Last week in
Florida 17 innocent people died in another school shooting that could have
possibly been avoided.
Some of you
will disagree with what I'm about to say.
However, I have the right to say it.
If you don't want to continue reading, then don't.
Admittedly,
I haven't read a lot about this incident.
I don't need to, as long as I know that 17 people are dead that could be
alive today if this wouldn't have happened.
I am in favor of stricter gun control laws, and those could be enacted
in this country if Congress and the President would just do so. If just one of those laws saved one life in
this land it would be worth it. That one
life could be a friend or relative of you or I.
The argument
from the gun activists that I don't understand is that they think one more law
will take away their Second Amendment right to own a gun. It won't.
But if that law is what is required to keep guns out of the hands of
anyone who isn't fit to have one [like the shooter in Florida], then I'm in
favor of it. Doing nothing is not an
option. Doing nothing will not stop the
gun violence. Congress and the President
need to act and act decisively. But they
won't.
Don't @ me.
